Gift cards and store credit

Sell gift cards and give customers credit; they spend it at checkout with a code.

Sell a gift card

Open Marketing, then Gift cards, and tap New gift card. Enter the amount, who it is for and how they paid you (the money comes to you directly; we only keep the balance). You get a code like ABCD-EFGH-JKLM to send on WhatsApp.

Give store credit

Choose Store credit and the customer, or open a customer and tap Give store credit. Only their number can spend it, so it suits a refund as credit or a thank-you.

At checkout

The customer taps "Have a gift card?" in the bag and types the code. It pays what it can of the order; the rest is paid the usual way, and an order the card covers in full is marked paid. Cancelling an order puts the money back on the card.

Keep track

The list shows what is left on each card and what is still to spend on all of them. Cancel a card that was lost or refunded. In Accounting, cards are money you owe in goods until they are spent.

Who has it

Making cards comes with Pro and Business. Cards you made stay spendable if your plan changes: your customers paid for them.
