Gift messages, wrapping and tips

Customers can send an order as a gift with a message, ask for wrapping and add a tip.

  1. Open Settings, then Ordering.
  2. Under Gifts and tips, switch on Offer gift wrapping and set the fee (empty for free), and switch on Take tips at checkout.
  3. Save. At checkout customers can tick This is a gift, write a message, ask for wrapping and pick a tip.

On the order

The order shows the gift message and whether to wrap it, and the wrapping fee and tip in the total. The WhatsApp message lists them too.

Tips

Tips are paid to you with the order, like the rest. VAT is not charged on a tip.

Who pays for a gift

The sender, always. A delivered gift is not offered cash on delivery when you take another way to pay, the order says the sender pays, and your driver sees nothing to collect at the door. If you only take cash, settle with the sender before it goes out.
