ZATCA phase 2: do I need it?

Saudi sellers called into e-invoicing phase 2 must sign and report every invoice to Fatoora.

Who needs it

Only VAT-registered sellers in Saudi Arabia whom ZATCA has notified. ZATCA calls businesses in by waves, by their yearly taxable sales, and writes to each one at least six months before its date. Check your Fatoora account. If you are not VAT registered, phase 2 does not apply to you.

What Tajer does today

Every invoice already has the phase 1 ZATCA QR code, with your VAT number and the VAT total. Your books, VAT return and invoices are kept for you.

What is coming

For Business shops: connect Tajer to Fatoora once with the one-time code from your Fatoora account. After that, each invoice is signed and reported to ZATCA for you within 24 hours, and you see if anything was refused.

If your date is close

Use an approved e-invoicing system now (for example Qoyod, Zoho Books or Daftra). On Business you can send your books to them from Books → Send to your accountant's software.
