Automatic WhatsApp messages to customers
Order updates sent by themselves from your own WhatsApp Business number. Business plan.
- Set up the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) in Meta Business Suite with your business number.
- Open Settings → WhatsApp messages and paste the phone number ID, the WhatsApp Business account ID and a permanent access token.
- Wait for Meta to approve the messages (Check approval again), send yourself a test, and choose which order changes send one.
What customers get
When you confirm an order, mark it ready, delivered or cancelled, the customer gets a short message in the language they ordered in, with your shop name, the order number and their tracking link.
Cost
Meta charges your own account for each message; order updates are its cheapest kind. Tajer adds nothing.
The number
Meta usually asks for a number that is not used in the regular WhatsApp app, or uses its coexistence option for WhatsApp Business app numbers. Your customers keep messaging you as before.
